SERVES 2  :  EASY

PREP TIME  :  3-5 minutes

COOKING TIME  :  4-6 MINUTES

DOSHIC EFFECT + AGGRAVATES - BALANCES

- Vata   - Pitta    - Kapha 

 

INGREDIENTS                                               

  • 1 cup of warm water

  • 1/2 tsp of fresh grated ginger

  • 1/2 tsp of lemon juice

  • 1/2 tsp of honey (when water becomes warm)

METHOD

  1. Grate fresh ginger into a mug with lemon

  2. Add hot water 

  3. When the water has become body temperature add the honey 

     

    NOTE: Adding the honey in at the right temperature is the most important. Heated honey is one of the hardest substances to get rid of in the body. 


 

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF MORNING DRINK?

It will improve any digestive issues, enkindle Agni, assist in proper elimination and promote the healthy flush of toxins on a daily basis.

ADDITIONAL ADD-INS

VATA

 add 1/4 tsp ajwain powder/seeds

nerve stimulant and great for any gas or indigestion issues - best Vata balancing spice

 

PITTA IMBALANCE OR SUMMER SEASON

 Add 1/2 tsp fennel seed powder

cooling and sweet taste assists in stabilising the heat of Pitta

 

KAPHA

 add 1/2 fenugreek powder 

helps with fat metabolism and extra water retention (fenugreek will help flush the toxins from the GI tract, counters sluggishness in lymphatic system)
